A Novel Escape is a bookish retreat company based in Florida, dreamed up by four friends who believe that stories have the power to connect, restore, and inspire. What started as late-night chats about favorite reads quickly turned into a shared vision: to create magical, cozy spaces where book lovers could step away from the everyday and step into something special. Our retreats are designed with care, heart, and a deep love of fiction—from fantasy realms and romantasy favorites to quiet moments and meaningful community. Together, we blend creativity, intention, and a touch of whimsy to turn stories into experiences and readers into friends.
Jazenia
Creative spark and horse-loving dreamer, Jazenia is a homeschooling boy mom to four and the visionary heart of our team. Whether she’s cuddling her horse, crafting cozy spaces, or diving into a favorite book, her imagination knows no bounds. A lifelong lover of stories, her favorite series is Sweet Evil, and she brings a playful, magical energy to everything we create.
Ashley
A Navy veteran and homeschooling mom to one, Ashley’s love for reading was rekindled by the romantasy genre—Fourth Wing being the one that truly swept her off her feet. With her bold spirit, organized mind, and fierce loyalty, she adds strength and spark to our team. Her journey back to books has been full of wonder, and she’s passionate about helping others find their next favorite story.
Kristen
Kristen is a health coach, meditation guide, and homeschooling mom to three imaginative girls. Though she spent years reading nonfiction, her heart has always belonged to the world of fantasy—and recently, she dove into fiction with open arms. Calm, intentional, and deeply curious, Kristen brings a peaceful wisdom and reflective touch to our work, helping us create spaces that feel as restorative as they are magical.
Sabrina
Sabrina is a birth doula and homeschooling mom of five whose love for mysteries began with Scooby-Doo and blossomed into a deep appreciation for books of all genres. Her nurturing presence, thoughtful insights, and quiet humor bring both grounding and lightness to our retreats. With a storyteller’s heart, she’s always ready to dive into the next twisty plot or heartfelt tale.
